OpenAI announced the release of GPT-5, their most powerful language model to date. The new model demonstrates significantly improved reasoning capabilities, better code generation, and enhanced multimodal understanding.
GPT-5 can now handle longer context windows of up to 200,000 tokens and shows marked improvements in mathematics, science, and logical reasoning tasks. Early benchmarks show it outperforms GPT-4o across virtually all standard tests.
The model is initially available to ChatGPT Plus and Pro subscribers, with API access rolling out to developers over the coming weeks.
